A vast majority of our yl will not be able to secure employment,  but do have needs and want some since  of accomplishment.  The stipend  helps  in this area. All who receive stipends must give something back to the community. Our yl will volunteer to assist the elderly, in low income areas and assist in neighborhood cleanups, also our yl's will learn through class work (weekend seminars ect;) about money, respect, civil etiquette  and a plethora of subjects to enhance their live as future leaders and citizens. The most important element of our program is our squad leaders, who will act as tutors if our yl's have problems in school, for single parent homes we will be able to assist in many ways , by just being there to assist in school work ( since many of our squad leaders will be in college or seniors in high school) therefore eliminating the need for low income families to bear the cost of expensive summer and after school tutoring programs, and buy using and asset that for the most part never had been used in this manner before, our state funded colleges and universities ( especially hbcu's  who are in our communities , most of the time right next door to the areas that need the most help. Each month we will select a yl who has preformed the best in school, home and community and they will be recognized in many ways, to include monies, baseball tickets ect;
