BUSINESS PLEDGE $500.00-$1000.00 (CLICK HERE FOR PLEDGE APPLICATION) SUMMER 2004 Summer 2004 Program Initiation
We are asking each business to pledge Five Hundred to One Thousand Dollars ($500 - $1000.00) for the summer to support one (1) of twenty one (21) youth and youth leaders in our program.
Our youth leaders and youth leadership staff will be given a stipend from Sixty to One Hundred Dollars ($60.00 - $100.00) a month for participation.
In order to receive this stipend, each member will have to perform community service around Montgomery, from helping the disabled, cleaning yards to helping meals on wheels and all matter of deeds and chores when requested by local neighborhood associations. Our youth leaders will be monitored and held to a high standard of conduct in this organization; they must take and obey our YLC Creed.
Any failure to adhere to this creed will result in termination from the program; also we will assist in getting part-time and paying jobs when possible. We will monitor home life to ensure that our youth are not only being good citizens, but also good young adults and are setting good examples for others in their community to follow, in short, we expect them to perform in three areas; Home, School and Community.
We at YLC believe that in order to be well rounded citizens these are the areas that must be satisfied to a common social standard.
